FIREPROOF PERFORMANCE LAW FIRM CONFERENCE

This past week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Fireproof Your Law Firm Growth Conference hosted by Mike Morse.

Not only did I attend, but I had the privilege of sitting down with Mike for an interview on his podcast — a full circle moment that I don’t take lightly.

Mike, thank you. Not just for being a mentor, but for being a genuine friend. There was a time when I couldn’t afford to be in certain rooms, and you still made a way for me to attend Fireproof meetings. You didn’t just teach strategy — you gave me access, vision, and the tools to build something resilient.

In September 2025, I experienced my first real “fire” as a law firm owner — attorneys and employees left overnight without notice. It was unexpected, uncomfortable, and could have been devastating. Since that time we have hired 3 new attorneys and 1 additional paralegal. Talk about FIREPROOF!!!!

But that was the moment of truth.

I had to put everything I learned into action to see if my firm was truly FIREPROOF.

And it was.

What could have broken us actually pushed us forward. We didn’t burn — we elevated. The absence of those individuals created space for growth, alignment, and strength we didn’t even realize we had.

I’m deeply grateful not only for Mike and the Fireproof principles, but also for my leadership team — Desiree Reyes, Steph Colombo, and Nikole Carlisle (former employee, but still really good friend). Your loyalty, leadership, and ex*****on of these principles are a big part of why we are where we are today.

We were tested by FIRE… and we came out untouched.

So I end this FIREPROOF post with my favorite bible scripture

“An the satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together and saw that the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them.” — Daniel 3:27
