Meet Blessing Cer, Legal Assistant at Giles Law Group, supporting the firm’s attorneys with precision, care, and a strong client-first mindset.

Blessing brings hands-on experience in legal administration, case management, and client communication, supporting high-volume immigration and civil matters. Fluent in English and Burmese (Chin), she provides inclusive, culturally aware support that strengthens client communication and trust.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business (Marketing) at Indiana University–Indianapolis, Blessing brings an analytical, detail-oriented approach to legal operations. She supports GLG through case management, documentation, and project coordination, helping keep the team organized and providing thoughtful, reliable service to our clients.

Outside of work, Blessing enjoys gardening, sewing, and nail art, creative outlets that allow her to unwind and stay detail-oriented. She also values spending quality time with family and creating a calm, organized home environment.

Meet Mya Jackson (she/her), associate attorney at Giles Law Group and a dedicated advocate for clients navigating employment law, criminal defense, family matters, and estate planning.

A graduate of the Maurer School of Law, Mya brings a thoughtful, justice-focused approach to her practice, shaped by hands-on experience with employment disputes, criminal defense, and community-centered legal work. Her service through Second Chance Re-Entry Assistance and the Indiana Legal Services LGBTQ Project reflects her commitment to expanding access to fair and compassionate legal support.

At GLG, Mya provides clients with steady guidance across business law, employment law, wills and estates, and family law, ensuring that each client feels informed, empowered, and supported through life’s most challenging moments.

Outside the office, Mya enjoys staying active and creative. She spends her free time playing sports, golfing, practicing yoga, and gaming, and values nothing more than relaxing with family and enjoying the outdoors.

Meet Sharon Cruz (she/her), senior attorney at Giles Law Group and a seasoned litigator with over a decade of experience in data privacy, criminal prosecution, and complex civil matters.

An alumna of IU McKinney School of Law, Sharon brings a strong, solutions-driven approach to her practice, shaped by years of courtroom advocacy, public service, and hands-on experience advising clients across commercial law and contracts, civil litigation, divorce, criminal defense, DUIs, immigration, and data privacy.

Sharon’s work is guided by a commitment to equity, community leadership, and creative problem-solving. Her background in prosecution and litigation allows her to navigate high-stakes situations with clarity, confidence, and an unwavering focus on client protection.

Outside the office, Sharon enjoys the arts, particularly music and theatre. She is the Board President of Epilogue Players, sings with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, and loves crafting public policy, traveling, and exploring new books and creative projects.

Meet Steve Ruby (he/him), senior attorney at Giles Law Group and a trusted advocate for clients navigating important life and business decisions.

A 2011 graduate of IU McKinney School of Law, Steve brings a sensible, compassionate perspective to his legal practice, shaped by his background in entrepreneurship, business operations, and civic engagement. His work spans business, brewing, and alcohol law; regulatory compliance; nonprofit governance; corporate formation; contract review; and advising brewing projects across Indiana.

Before joining GLG, Steve, an award-winning brewer, co-founded Black Acre Brewing Company (2012–2023) with GLG partner Jordan Gleason, growing it into a leading Indiana brewery with international distribution. That experience is the backbone of the practical, real-world guidance he provides today. Since joining the firm two years ago, Steve has expanded his practice beyond regulated industries to include real estate, trusts, and wills.

Outside the office, Steve enjoys playing music, fishing, gardening, bird watching, and caring for his pets. A former professional brewer, he still loves the craft and often winds down with a good horror movie.
