As a resident for 15 years that could throw a rock and hit this parking lot, I understand both sides of the argument. Current residents are concerned with the type of person that they perceive to live in apartments. The argument of traffic is a veiled way of protesting. The truth of the matter is that the area needs development in order to continue to thrive. The current population has not been able to keep retail from either going out of business or relocating. Change is inevitable and necessary to continue to move our area and the city forward.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Development Commission approved a developer's petitions to rezone a parking lot and modify agreements made in the 1960s.
