Meghan U. Lehner

Meghan U. Lehner Attorney in Indianapolis practicing employment law, discrimination law, social security benefits law, and veterans rights law. Haskin & Associates.

Meghan discovered her interest in employment law long before she got her law degree, inspired by her family’s longheld union ties — including her 91-year-old grandmother in the 1950s — and her mom’s experience as a small business owner. Since getting her law degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law in 2005, she’s practiced as an attorney in Indiana and Florida. A proud ItalianAmer

ican, Meghan grew up working on her mom’s large charter boat in Long Island, New York. She graduated from Hofstra University with an English degree and played tennis and softball in college. She lives in Fishers with her husband, Dave Spaulding, and son, Robert. Starting her career in Indianapolis, she began as an attorney at Fulk & Associates, and later joined Haskin, Lauter, LaRue & Gibbons. In 2008, Meghan moved to Florida and worked for a defense firm, before returning to Indiana to resume work at Haskin & LaRue now known as John H. With a focus on employment law and civil rights, Meghan represents employees in cases concerning Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, wage claims, and Due Process and First Amendment violations. She’s a frequent contributing author and has presented continuing legal education seminars and presentations in employment law and discrimination. Meghan has over 10 years of experience practicing in Federal Court, as well as representing federal administrative agencies like the EEOC and MSPB, and state agencies like SEAC. In addition to the federal courts in the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, Meghan is also admitted to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, which is the federal appellate court for federal cases filed in the State of Indiana. She’s successfully briefed and presented oral arguments on behalf of clients in the Indiana Court of Appeals, Indiana Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. A lover of ’80s hair bands, roller coasters, and the NY Yankees, Meghan spends her free time hanging out with her family, working out at the gym, and attending local sports events, like cheering on the Indianapolis Indians, Indy Fuel and Colts. She also loves to sample local craft beers, watch horror movies and read true crime stories.
