El domingo 1 de diciembre a las 12 pm, la Coalición Latina ofrecerá una charla informativa, "Sistema Legal: Aprendiendo a navegar": Esta charla estará a cargo del abogado de inmigración Christian Mendoza, de Mendoza Calix Law. El propósito de esta charla es ayudar a los inmigrantes latinos aprender cómo navegar en el sistema legal: preguntas y respuestas, Visa-U disponible para víctimas de violencia, lo último de las leyes sobre inmigración. Este evento se llevará a cabo en la Iglesia Ebenezer localizada en la 1460 S. Belmont Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46221. La Coalición Latina está ofreciendo clases de inglés para latinos en un módulo de 4 sesiones los días miércoles 6 y 20 de noviembre y 4 y 11 de diciembre de 5:00 pm a 7:00 pm. Las clases se dictarán en el local de la Iglesia El Buen Pastor localizada en la 3346 Lowry Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222 (al lado oeste de la ciudad). Los participantes recibirán un CD, un booklet y otros materiales educativos. Las clases son gratuitas. "On June 28, 2019, the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to review the legal challenges to DACA. The Supreme Court will hear oral argument on the cases on November 12, 2019. A decision is expected no later than June 2020. The Supreme Court did not “stay” any of the lower court orders, which means that DACA recipients who currently have or previously had DACA can continue to submit applications to renew their DACA."
