Gender Marker Change Uncertainty: an Indiana Court of Appeals opinion recently urged either the state Supreme Court or the legislature to settle the dispute over the proper framework for petitioning for a change to a birth certificate's gender marker.

Did You Hear?: Yesterday, Governor Holcomb vetoed H.E.A. 1041, the proposed ban on trans athletes from K-12 school sports. But the state House Speaker said the lawmakers intend to override the veto.

As part of this month's Black History highlights, I'd like to promote an amazing project that focuses on a trailblazing icon of the Civil Rights Movement.

I had the honor of being taught by Julian Bond at the American University when I took his History of the Civil Rights Movement course. I'll admit that I didn't really know who he was initially, but I realized pretty quickly the unparalleled value of the lectures delivered by Professor Bond.

And I was also a student of this project's director/creator, Professor Ivers from AU's School of Public Affairs. He taught one of my favorite courses in undergrad and ranks among the best teachers I've been fortunate enough to know.
