Market Recap:

Pending home sales rose 1.5% month-over-month in March, moderating from the prior 2.5% increase, while the pending home sales index edged up to 73.7 from 72.6.

Mortgage application submissions jumped 7.9% in the latest week, rebounding from a 1.8% increase previously, while the Purchase Index rose 10% and the Refinance Index increased 6%.

Continuing jobless claims came in at 1,821,000 for the week ending 4/11, slightly above expectations of 1,820,000 and up from 1,809,000, while initial jobless claims increased to 214,000 for the week ending 4/18, exceeding expectations of 211,000 and rising from 208,000.
