I am excited to share that I have officially been accepted into the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Greater Huntsville Area Chapter!

I am honored to be part of a sisterhood of strong, dedicated, accomplished, and service-minded women who are committed to making a positive impact in our community.

This next chapter is going to be amazing. Always hold your standards high, believe in your vision, and strive for greatness. It doesn't matter what life has given or taken away—you have the power to determine how you move forward.

Focus more on your wins than your losses. You are walking in greatness, and that is enough. Build your own table, surround yourself with positive people who support you, challenge you, and encourage you to see beyond your current perspective.

Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle officially opened the city's new recreation center at John Hunt Park on Monday. The 60,000-square foot facility features covered basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts as well as a fitness room, multi-purpose rooms, office space and concessions.
