In response to the national crisis regarding COVID-19, we at Patterson Law Firm are taking the regulations and recommendations of the CDC very seriously. We are taking extra cleaning and distancing precautions for clients with emergencies that need to speak me in person or sign important documents at our office. If your driver's license is suspended, you now may be eligible to obtain a hardship license. Application can be found on the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency website.

A new law by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency could reinstate the driver's licenses for nearly 20,000 Alabamians, whose licenses were suspended, for an inability to pay traffic tickets.

Although our firm is primarily engaged in representing injured working men and women, we also take other cases as justice requires. Robert Patterson has handled almost every kind of lawsuit and criminal case during his 35 year legal career. After a four-day trial this week, where the State brought in nine witnesses and offered 52 exhibits as evidence against our client, he was acquitted of all charges by a Madison County jury today. This 37 year old man was brought to tears by the verdict knowing that his liberty and property are secure and that he can return to his family and the job he has held for 17 years in this community. It was our honor to represent this man.

We used to have to tell clients that expungement of criminal records was not possible in Alabama, but now people who win their cases can have their record cleared. Call us for more info!

The measure requires payment of a $300 administrative fee and the expunging of a person's criminal record would require a petition to an Alabama circuit court in the jurisdiction where the charge was filed.

We were fortunate to obtain a quarter million dollar verdict from a Madison County jury this week for a lady injured in a car wreck. The insurance company offered her zero. The case presented a lot of difficult issues. We are happy that the jury did a good job and rendered a fair verdict.
