As the Supreme Court begins its October Term 2026, the fall docket includes cases addressing major questions involving climate litigation, veterans’ benefits, religious freedom, voting requirements, technology, and employment law.

A few cases to watch:

⚖️ Suncor Energy v. Boulder County — whether federal law preempts state-law climate claims involving greenhouse-gas emissions.

🇺🇸 Johnson v. United States Congress — whether veterans can bring constitutional challenges to laws affecting their benefits in federal district court.

⛪ St. Mary Catholic Parish v. Roy — questions involving religious freedom and when a law is considered generally applicable under the First Amendment.

🗳️ Republican National Committee v. Mi Familia Vota — whether states may require documentary proof of citizenship for voter registration.

📱 Apple v. Epic Games — another chapter in the long-running dispute over Apple’s App Store practices and the scope of a contempt ruling.

The Court’s October session begins October 5, with additional arguments scheduled throughout November.
