Wow! I am humbled and truly grateful to be the Democratic nominee for the 486th District Court.

Thank you to the hundreds of Democratic precinct chairs of the Harris County Democratic Party - HCDP for all of your time and effort! You are the backbone of our local party and the faith you have placed in me is greatly appreciated.

Thank you to Jeremy Brown for your impeccable advice and guidance these past few weeks!

Thank you to my mom Cynthia Upton Martinez for always believing in me and for your hard work and HOURS spent on the telephone!

Thank you to my husband Alex, (who is too cool for social media), for taking care of the home-front and encouraging me when I grew weary.

I would not be here without all of you!

Now onward to November and victory for our Democratic slate. 💪💙 🌊

My team has been working hard the past three weeks to connect with precinct chairs across Harris County. I am grateful to my team and to all the precinct chairs who have been so generous with their time.

***CAMPAIGN ALERT!!!*** I am thrilled and truly humbled to announce that I earned the highest rating from both the Harris County Democratic Party and the Houston Progressive Caucus in my campaign for nomination for the 486th Criminal District Court.

The opportunity to nominate a Democratic candidate for this court arose just three weeks ago, and the race will be decided by vote of precinct chairs at the CEC meeting this Tuesday.
I have been in this sprint of a campaign with many (EIGHT!) highly qualified opponents, most of whom I count as friends, and all of whom I respect as experienced and accomplished criminal law practitioners.

No matter the outcome on Tuesday, I am truly grateful to HCDP, the Houston Progressive Caucus, and the hundreds of precinct chairs across Harris County who have taken the time to speak with me and learn about my vision for the 486th District Court.

It’s go time! Let’s make quorum and turn one more seat BLUE this November! 💙💪
