After an accident, the insurance company will call and ask for a "quick recorded statement." Don't give it.

That call sounds routine. The adjuster is friendly, they say they just need your side of the story, it'll only take a few minutes. Here's what they don't tell you: that call isn't there to help you. It's there to get you on the record saying something they can use to shrink or deny your claim.

Watch how it works:

🚩 "How are you feeling today?" You say "I'm okay, thanks" to be polite. Now it's their proof you weren't really hurt.
🚩 "Just walk me through what happened." You're still shaken, you get one small detail wrong. Now they argue your whole account is unreliable.
🚩 "So you're not in much pain?" A casual "not too bad right now" becomes evidence against your injury claim.

In this video, attorney Rob Carty explains why you talk to a lawyer BEFORE you ever talk to the adjuster.

The rule is simple: if the insurance company is asking for a recorded statement, it's time to call an attorney. Let your lawyer do the talking.

There are two kinds of personal injury firms. Make sure you know which one you're hiring.

We call them "fast money firms" and "max money firms."

A FAST money firm runs on volume. They sign your case, take the first reasonable offer the insurance company puts on the table, and move on to the next file. It's quick and easy for them — but "quick and easy" can leave a serious amount of your recovery sitting on the table.

A MAX money firm works your case like it actually matters. That means:

⚖️ Thoroughly investigating what really happened
⚖️ Properly evaluating what your claim is actually worth
⚖️ Fighting the insurance company instead of folding to it
⚖️ Litigating — and going all the way to trial if that's what it takes

The firm you choose isn't just a formality. It can change what you walk away with.

At Suits & Boots Injury Lawyers, we don't do fast money. We do max money. Fair is where we start — not where we stop.

The #1 mistake people make after an accident? Posting about it online.

It feels harmless. You put up a photo at a family birthday, you check in at the gym, you reply "I'm doing great!" to a friend who asked how you're feeling. But if you have an injury claim pending, none of it is harmless — because the insurance company is watching your social media, and they will use it against you.

Here's how it works: that photo of you smiling at the party becomes their "proof" you're not really hurt. Your weekend hike post becomes their argument that your back is fine. A comment meant to reassure your friends gets twisted into evidence against your own claim.

In this video, attorney Rob Carty explains why going quiet online is one of the smartest things you can do while your case is open.

The rule of thumb is simple: if your claim is pending, keep it offline. Let your attorney do the talking.
