Hollins Law Group PLLC is in seeking an a highly skilled and enthusiastic full time Personal Injury Pre-litigation Case Manager that will assist our clients through the intake and prelitigation process. The firm is expanding our prelitigation department and is looking for individuals familiar with how to provide case management for personal injury cases, prepare demands, and negotiate claims.
Summary of Job Description
Under the overall direction of the Principal Attorney, Associate(s), and the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Personal Injury Pre-litigation Case Manager is responsible for the following duties:
Assist attorneys with all aspects of case management from start to finish, including monitoring statute of limitations deadlines, tracking client treatment, billing, and providing reminders as necessary;
Maintain regular contact with case load and consistently communicate case status with clients;
Managing high volume of calendaring of client treatment needs, proofreading, case follow-up and correspondence;
Request, review, index, organize and summarize documents produced by other parties and medical health care providers;
Prepare settlement breakdowns and disbursement sheets;
Present regular case summaries/updates to COO and ensure that deadlines are met;
Organize and maintain all case files, and information concerning engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with the law firm policies;
Conduct light legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, social security, medical records, and medical providers; and
Draft demand letters for attorney review.
Qualifications
High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certification is preferred.
Previous case management process experience is preferred–(preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant at a law firm, non-profit, or human services agency)
Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and case management software
Self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters at once
Possesses exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required
