Can attending immigration court put you at risk of arrest?
A federal judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s policy allowing ICE to arrest certain immigrants at or near immigration courthouses nationwide.
The court concluded that the government failed to properly justify the policy change and did not follow the legal procedures required under federal administrative law.
While this is an important development, it does not mean that every immigrant is protected from enforcement actions or that removal proceedings have stopped.
Every immigration case is unique, and recent court decisions may affect individuals differently.
If you have a pending immigration case and want to understand how this ruling could impact your situation, experienced legal guidance is essential.
