Kudos to the US Department of Labor for going after this restaurant chain for systematically underpaying its employees by not paying them for all hours worked. We see these types of situations in restaurant cases all the time.

The U.S. Department of Labor sued a Massachusetts restaurant chain in federal court Wednesday, claiming it worked some employees more than 60 hours per week without paying overtime and falsified time clocks to make it appear the workers stayed within 40 hours.

No big surprise, pizza delivery drivers are often underpaid. They are paid minimum wage or less and then not reimbursed for the cost of operating their vehicle, meaning that they are making less than $7.25 per hour! The person who parks your car at your favorite restaurant may not be getting paid properly. We have sues 2 different valet parking companies in the last week for not paying its attendants properly - one of them did not pay our client anything, all he made was tips!

Home health care workers are commonly underpaid - they are often (1) not paid for the time they spend going between patients each day, and (2) not paid overtime. We have filed lawsuits on behalf of 2 ladies working for 2 separate companies doing this in the last week. The industry is rife with these types of issues.
