😾OK voters rejected a referendum that would have legalized recreational ma*****na…😾
Since 2018, Oklahoma has had medical ma*****na. With as much as 10% of its residents now having a prescription for pot, many thought this would have been a slam dunk…BUT, OK being the belt buckle of the bible belt, it failed.

New blog post: Will Fentanyl Test Kits Remain Illegal in Texas?
|
The use of fentanyl has become a significant public health concern in recent years, as overdose deaths involving the drug have increased dramatically. There are widely available home-test kits for Fentanyl that could be used by the masses to make sure they are not inadvertantly ingesting this powerful, deadly substance – but in Texas, they are illegal! Unbelievably, the cheap and easy to use test kits are considered drug paraphernalia in Texas under the Texas Health and Safety Code.
Finally, it appears as if the law might be changed, and the lifesaving test-kits made legally available to people in Texas.

Public hearing will be held today (2/28/23) on the proposed change to TX law, which would: 1) make possession of up to 1 ounce of ma*****na a class C Midemeanor (up to a $500 fine), 2) make possession of less than 2 ounces of ma*****na a non-arrestable offense (of thats all you’re alleged to have done), and 3) sets up a system to offer low-cost expunctions for certain low level ma*****na convictions.

IT’S A TRAP! Many of you may have seen the video of the Taqueria hero that took matters into his own hands and saved a restaurant full of innocent people from an aggravated robber. We all can see from the video evidence that this was a legally justified shooting. This man did NOTHING illegal. If I could send him a message it would be the same advice I give my own clients: DO NOT make a statement to the police. DO NOT answer questions. HPD & HCDAO need to re-evaluate their response - leave this good citizen alone!
