Did you know that Texas requires listed family homes for child care to carry liability insurance?

According to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), if you're operating a listed family home for child care, you're generally required to maintain liability insurance coverage. This protects both your business and the families you serve.

🔍 However, there are specific exceptions to this requirement:

You’re unable to obtain insurance coverage for financial reasons

You cannot find an insurance company willing to underwrite a policy for your home

You've already exhausted the limits of a qualifying policy

If you qualify for an exception, you must notify parents in writing.

🛑 The U.S. Embassy in India has temporarily paused F-1 student visa appointments, according to a recent report by The Hindu. While the reasons haven't been fully detailed, the disruption is already affecting students preparing for fall semester admissions.

🎓 What you can do while waiting:

✅ Stay Informed – Regularly check the U.S. Embassy India website and social media channels for updates and rescheduling notices.

✅ Prepare Your Documents – Use this time to ensure all your application materials are complete, including SEVIS payment, I-20 form, transcripts, and financial documentation.

✅ Practice for Your Interview – Many students underestimate the visa interview. Now’s the perfect time to polish your answers and prep with confidence.

✅ Contact Your University – Inform your school’s international student office. They may offer flexibility, deferred admissions, or resources for navigating delays.
