PDH Law is very proud of its Associate Attorney Austin Biehle being published in the Texas Environmental Law Journal.

His article, "Red Tape & Yellow Lines: How Euclidean Zoning Laws Escalate Climate Change & Undermine Resilience" analyzes how Euclidean zoning laws have become a systemic barrier to climate resilience by perpetuating urban sprawl.

Pagel, Davis & Hill is excited to welcome Austin Biehle to its Corporate Transactional Practice.

Austin will work primarily with Partner Corbett Parker on real estate development, M&A, and employment-related matters.

Austin is a double Aggie (Whoop!) who earned his J.D. from Texas A&M University Law School and graduated summa cm laude from Texas A&M University in College Station.

While in law school, Austin served as the Symposium Editor for the Texas A&M Journal of Property Law and was inducted into the National Order of Scribes for excellence in legal writing. The American College of Real Estate Lawyers awarded his original article on land use law second place in their annual nationwide contest, which is slated for publication in the Texas Environmental Law Journal.

Outside of the office, Austin enjoys tennis, pickleball, horology, and photography.

Meet Pagel, Davis & Hill, P.C. Associate Attorney Caroline Bush, who clerked in our Litigation section for two Summers before joining us full-time in August 2025.

Caroline's practice focuses on commercial litigation, construction disputes, and construction defect defense. She represents clients in a variety of civil matters, bringing a detail-oriented and strategic approach to each case and assisting clients through all stages of litigation.

Caroline earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University, with minors in Business and Spanish. She then earned her Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law.

Caroline is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.

Outside of the office, Caroline enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new restaurants around Houston. Caroline serves as a volunteer with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and is an active member and volunteer at Grace Bible Church.

Meet PDH Law Associate Attorney Brizza Ortiz, who has worked in our Litigation section for the past 2+ years.

Brizza specializes in construction, real estate, and commercial disputes. Licensed to practice law in both Texas and Mexico, Brizza brings more than a decade of legal experience and a distinctive perspective shaped by practicing in two legal systems.

Her practice includes managing disputes through pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, negotiations, and resolution. She works closely with clients to understand the business considerations underlying a dispute and to develop practical, effective strategies for protecting their interests.

Fluent in Spanish and English, Brizza regularly works with Spanish-speaking clients and stakeholders and is particularly attuned to the legal and cultural considerations that arise when representing diverse businesses and individuals. Her international experience, combined with her Texas litigation practice, allows her to bring an adaptable and resourceful approach to complex legal problems.

Brizza is actively involved with the Houston Association of Women Attorneys and the Houston Young Lawyers Association.

PDH Partner Dennis McQueen was once again on ABC13 Houston with ABC13-Miya Shay explaining fraudulent property deeds.

It is appalling that someone would exploit multiple families dealing with the loss of a loved one... but we are glad Dennis and Miya are helping to hold them responsible!

A man is accused of filing property claims on homes left behind after two high-profile murder cases in Houston: the home of the deceased Traveler's Table owners and the home of a man accused of killing his wife before fleeing to Italy.

JO VONNA HILL, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, began her career in Human Resources in 1985 with Hermann Hospital. She currently works at the law firm, Pagel, Davis & Hill, where she coordinates Human Resource and legal work performed for clients of the law firm. She provides consulting for small to medium-sized business in legal compliance audits, employee relations, investigations, EEOC and unemployment claims, FMLA and ADA administration, and litigation prevention and support. We are proud of the work PDH Partner Dennis McQueen did helping not only our client, but 39 other individuals whose properties were stolen by fraudulent deeds, get their properties back.

BIG thanks to ABC13-Miya Shay for her investigative work that started all of this, and Harris County District Attorney's Office Christian Menefee following through on civil lawsuit that led to judgment giving properties back to rightful owners.

A judge has signed a default judgment that will return 40 properties to its original owners after ABC13 broke the story of a Houston woman accused in civil lawsuits of stealing dozens of properties.
