SBSB Partner John Michael Raborn recently secured a victory for our client in the First Court of Appeals in Texas. The Court upheld the trial court's dismissal of claims brought by borrowers against our client. The claims concerned the terms of an agreed final judgment rendered in a prior lawsuit between the parties, and the Court found that the subsequent lawsuit was an “impermissible collateral attack on an agreed final judgment.” Congratulations to John Michael on another successful result for our client!

SBSB Partners Rasha Zeyadeh and Pryce Tucker recently secured summary judgment on behalf of their clients in the 414th Judicial District Court of McLennan County. The plaintiff sought to impose liability under Texas' dram shop law against the property owners, even though they neither sold nor served alcohol. The court agreed that the defendants owed no legal duty under the law and dismissed the claims against them. Congratulations to Rasha and Pryce on another outstanding result!
