MABAH/Mexican American Bar Association of Houston

Founded in 1972, MABAH is one of the largest Hispanic legal organizations in Texas with a diversity of talent, expertise and leadership.

Many years ago, a small group of Mexican-American attorneys and law students would meet informally to discuss issues unique to the Spanish-speaking attorney. More and more often, the purpose of these meetings was to discuss legal remedies to the many injustices and problems facing the Hispanic community in Houston and throughout Texas. One April evening in 1972, a formal meeting was held to organize an association long overdue: THE MEXICAN AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION.

We are pleased to announce that this year's All-Day CLE is now open for registration! Join us Friday, September 11, 2026 via Zoom to for our All-Day Virtual CLE of 6.25 hours of CLE credit, including 2 hours of Ethics. See flyer attached.

To register and pay, visit https://www.mabah.com/all-day-cle. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants prior to the CLE.

Advertisement opportunities available for our All-Day CLE Program: We will be using the breaks in between our All-Day CLE course sessions to promote your business or upcoming events. The cost will be $100 per advertisement slide. The Mexican American Bar Association of Houston announces its endorsements of candidates in contested races in the 2026 General Election.

MABAH considers this one of the most important services it can offer to the legal community and the Hispanic community at large: endorsing in contested races. Members volunteer to screen candidates, recommendations are made to the membership, and the membership ultimately votes. The list of endorsed candidates is the result of that vote.

We thank the Endorsement Screening Committee for coordinating this effort, our members who volunteered to screen candidates, all candidates who participated, and every member who came out to vote and make their voice heard on these races.
