FEMA CLAIMS INFO
If any of you, your family, or friends need instructions for filing for FEMA aid/assistance, the process is quite wasy if you follow the following steps:
1. go to https://www.fema.gov/
FEMA.gov | Federal Emergency Management Agency www.fema.gov
2. Click on the following link: "Find up-to-date resources and information"
3. Click on the "Apply for Assistance" drop down.
4. Click on "Registering online at
To find help for your immediate needs, please enter an address to get a list of the closest FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs), starting with the closest three.
5. Enter your full address information in the 'Look-up' box and Select "Look-Up"
6. Select the "Apply Online" box under the HURRICANE HARVEY disaster.
ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE REMAINING STEPS:
1. Have your SSN # for you and all of your dependents.
2. Have your estimated household income handy.
3. Have some sort of summary info regarding what was damaged (e.g. house, car, etc...)
4. Have your bank account & routing number ready to provide, so the assistance can be wired to your family if/when you are approved.
