TPC has been a known violator of EPA standards of air quality since 2017. After the explosion and fire of the plant, we must determine the safety of the air, land and water that is used by residents is safe. It is known that Asbestos was released into the environment during the fire, and we are concerned for the residents that may have been exposed to- and inhaled this dangerous compound.

Around 30 people were on site at the plant during the incident.

The recent plant explosion and fire at the TPC plant in Port Neches, Texas has us concerned that local residents may have been exposed to harmful chemical releases resulting from the incident.

In two formal updates posted on the internet Saturday, officials said the TPC Group fire was contained and added that air monitoring in the area had yet to detect any airborne asbestos, the banned and potentially deadly substance that was once ubiquitous as a fire retardant.

Zostavax® is a Shingles Vaccine manufactured by Merck that can cause a patient to develop shingles or chickenpox. Since Zostavax® contains live virus, the varicella zoster virus, the vaccine can cause the disease it was meant prevent. Chickenpox and shingles can cause serious damage to the nervous system including meningitis, encephalitis, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), and stroke. Other side effects can include necrotizing retinitis (an eye disorder), seizures, and possibly death. Shingles and chickenpox, can result in serious damage to the nervous system, including conditions like meningitis, encephalitis, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) and stroke. Some people who develop shingles suffer other serious side effects, such as Guillain-Barre syndrome, congestive heart failure, or varicella pneumonia.
