*To become Board Certified in Immigration Law, an attorney must have:
-Been licensed to practice law for five years;
-Devoted a required percentage of practice to immigration law for at least 3 years;
-Handled a wide variety of immigration matters to demonstrate experience;
-Attended classes in Immigration Law at continuing education seminars;
-Been evaluated by fellow lawyers and judges;
-Passed a day-long written examination.
