What a weekend this has been?!

Who would’ve thought a phone conversation just before the Thanksgiving Holiday 2025 would turn into such a meaningful conversational event and we were trying to make this happen in January but God knew we needed more time. We had to postpone due to inclement freezing temperatures and wet roads. Saturday before the holiday was the next date the venue had available. I didn’t realize it was Resurrection Weekend until after I confirmed with everyone. That tells you much my friends and panelists knew how important this message is.

With limited resources, no sponsorships, no PR reps, and a hand full of vendors, God made this happen. Thank you to all of the media coverage the of we were able to increase the attendance the last 48hrs almost 50%. Four of all six vendors signed up the last 24hrs before start time.

I can’t thank the panelists enough for sharing their insights and wealth of knowledge. They were so great that we almost got kicked out of the building because the networking and side discussions were still going on.

I know I shared that we would be hosting another one January 2027 but are making preparations to keep the conversation ongoing before then.

The exciting news is that this summit was professionals recorded and there will be a replay available very soon.

Thank my brother Kristopher Burton for taking some footage and thank KHOU 11 for the pleasant surprise of showing up to help bring awareness to this national issue.

I would be too remiss if I didn’t mention my sidekick Chrystall who puts up with my crazy spontaneous ideas and keeps me grounded.

We will have a recap of the summit before the release of the replay is available to keep the fire going.

If you work with the youth in any capacity, please be alert because I’m going to reach out to you. One thing I’ve learned personally growing up is that money can’t replace time.
