I just dropped off a bunch of old paint and household chemicals.
You have to schedule an appointment online, but it's super easy.

The Household Hazardous Waste group (HHW) provides residents a convenient, safe and environmentally efficient way to dispose of chemicals and other non-hazardous recyclable items. They also serve as a point of operation for emergency management during events such as: hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, o...

This month JAMA published a perspective co-authored by 4 distinguished experts in public health. The research continues to recommend vaccinations and should end the non medical doctor, non scientist, trial lawyer Secretary of Health's attacks on vaccines.
Below is a summary of the report. You can read the article at jamanetwork.com.

This is the paper analyzing the effectiveness of the 2025-2026 Covid vaccine that the CDC director wanted to inexplicably squash. Why? It is good news (particularly for seniors) and further confirms the talent of our scientists and reaseach doctors. This should be celebrated, not censored.

“Conclusions and Relevance In this study, receipt of 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccination was associated with additional protection beyond existing immunity in adults against medically attended COVID-19, including ED/UC encounters and hospitalizations, compared with no receipt of a 2025-2026 vaccine dose. These findings suggest that adults can reduce their likelihood of severe COVID-19–associated outcomes by obtaining a 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccination.

This case-control study estimates vaccine effectiveness of 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccines among adults with COVID-19–associated emergency department or urgent care encounters and COVID-19–associated hospitalizations.
