This applies to families that have temporary or final orders from a Texas court that contain orders for possession and access (visitation) of a child. This is the Texas Supreme Court's Emergency Order dated March 17, 2020 stating that the "original published school schedule" shall control regarding the possession and access provisions in all instances. This Order expires May 8, 2020 unless extended by further order of the Court. There has been confusion with conservators regarding when a child should be returned after Spring Break since many schools have closed. This should help clarify the confusion. A child should be returned as if school is in session at the end of Spring Break.
