Peckham Martin and COVID-19 - A Message to our Friends and Colleagues:
As you may have heard, Harris County late this afternoon issued a Stay-at-Home Order due to the quickly developing effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic: https://www.readyharris.org/Stay-Home.
According to this Order, legal services and law firms are exempt from the requirements of closure and therefore Peckham Martin, PLLC will remain open to serve our clients. Because we are dedicated to promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of our community, clients, and families, we will be taking some precautionary measures. While the Order is in place:
1. we will have office hours of Monday to Thursday 9am to 4pm and Friday 9am to Noon;
2. we will conduct meetings via teleconference or by Zoom video conference;
3. we will have no in-office or in-person meetings - but will maintain hand sanitizer and the 6-foot rule for visitors and delivery personnel, and
4. we will have the ability to conduct business remotely.
When the Order has thankfully expired, we will resume normal hours and will continue other precautions to maintain a healthy environment.
We will always focus on fighting for results!
In the last few days, we have updated our internal systems to handle legal work with the most advanced technology and plan to keep all of our mediations, depositions, meetings, settlements and other events on schedule. If you need us, call.
We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow all guidance from health professionals and government officials.
Please be safe, be kind, be patient with others, take this time to be with family if you can, watch out for those in need, and take care of yourself. We will be here working hard for you.
Charles Peckham and Mary Martin
