📣 Today we recognize Workers' Memorial Day in the U.S. and the National Day of Mourning in Canada. Originally established by the Canadian Labour Congress in 1984, April 28 is an opportunity to remember those who have lost their lives on the job and to renew our fight to ensure safe working conditions. From construction sites to power plants, our members perform demanding, high-risk work. That’s why the has always been at the forefront of worker safety – advocating for stronger regulations, holding employers accountable, and training members to recognize hazards before they happen. Everyone deserves to come home safely after the workday ends. ✊
