MURDER CHARGES DISMISSED!!!

On November 28, 2022, my client was charged with murder at the Dollar General located on Clinton Boulevard in Jackson, Mississippi. Surveillance footage captured the entire incident. Police received several tips that other individuals committed the shooting before my client was arrested. The police released screenshots of the shooter committing the crime. It was a light-skinned black man with dreadlocks (just like my client). HOWEVER, our client has prominent tattoos on his neck, arms, and hands. The shooter did not. They were not the same person.

During our investigation, we discovered that JPD did not interview any witnesses at the crime scene. The witnesses we interviewed stated that our client was not the shooter. Unfortunately, without our hard work, our client might still be incarcerated or convicted. The dismissal is bitter-sweet. Even though we were able to get the charges dropped, after being charged, his image was spread across various media platforms, so the damage done to his reputation may never be reversed. We doubt the media will take similar action to publicly exonerate him. Additionally, the victim's family had believed that justice had been served for nearly two years, and now they may never know the truth.

After recently filing the lawsuit referenced in the article against Chevron in Pascagoula, Mississippi, several individuals have contacted us regarding race and gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment at Chevron-Pascagoula. For too long, serious allegations of overt racism have plagued Chevron’s Pascagoula refinery. These allegations have been brought to the attention of Chevron’s corporate office, yet they deny the existence of racism at their refinery in Mississippi, despite having paid millions to prevent people from speaking out in the past. It’s time for Chevron to take responsibility and address these issues head-on. Unfortunately, some people are afraid to come forward. We understand that speaking out against the threat of losing your job can be intimidating, but remaining silent only perpetuates injustice. We encourage any former or current Chevron employee who has experienced injustice to fight against it head on and help us expose these issues to pave the way for meaningful change.

If you or a loved one has experienced injustice at Chevron in Pascagoula, Mississippi, please contact us at (877) 552-9242 or email [email protected].

It’s still Ring’s decision whether your private security camera footage is given to the police. In some cases, you may not even know that it’s been handed over.
