Are you facing issues with your Medicaid or SNAP benefits or applications? Don't worry, you have rights! Here's what you need to know:

Medicaid Applications: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHSC) has 45 days to process your Medicaid application.

SNAP Applications: HHSC has 30 days to process your SNAP application.

We are here to support you! If your Medicaid or SNAP application is not processed in a timely manner, we encourage you to appeal that delayed action instead of reapplying and starting over.

We can assist you with filing an appeal of a delayed application and represent you on the appeal. If you received a denial or termination of benefits, we can help you review and determine that if action was correct. If the action was incorrect, we can represent you on an appeal.

Our team is dedicated to assisting you throughout the application process. We provide guidance, support, and representation to make sure you receive the benefits you are entitled to.

According to NPR, “Thousands of veterans who took what’s called a COVID forbearance are now at risk of losing their homes through no fault of their own.” To keep veterans in their homes, the VA is telling all mortgage companies not to foreclose on VA loans through May 31, 2024. However, it’s important that veteran homeowners know their rights and how to enforce them. Impacted homeowners should file complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau if their VA loan goes into foreclosure during this time.
