A former central Georgia police chief was arrested on several child s*x abuse charges, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

George Johnson, 79, was charged with so**my, s*xual exploitation of a child, and other offenses in connection to incidents involving a teenage victim, the GBI said.

The GBI said they believe the incidents with the victim happened in Houston and Pulaski counties since 2022.

The Michigan legislature has its sights set on changing the way our state handles s*xual assault cases; specifically expanding the timeframe for people to report s*xual abuse up to age 52.

While previous attempts at legislation like this failed, this iteration led by State Rep. Julie Brixie does have bipartisan support.
