Julia Grace is a third-year law student at South Texas College of Law Houston, where she is a Presidential Fellow, a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, and ranks in the top 10% of her class. She also received a CALI Award for earning the highest grade in Civil Procedure II.

Before law school, Julia Grace earned her degree in Marketing from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. Outside of work and school, she enjoys baking, spending time with friends, and weekends in Rockport with her husband and their Labrador retriever, Bronco.

We’re delighted to have Julia Grace working alongside Lauren Waddell and our team and look forward to being part of her continued growth as she completes her final year of law school.

Lauren Waddell is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and International Academy of Family Lawyers. She is licensed to practice law in Texas state courts, as well as in federal courts before the Southern District of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ms. Waddell is actively involved in leadership for legal and local community organizations. She has served as the Chair of the Houston Bar Association, Family Law Section; the President of Texas Women Lawyers; and the President of the Association of Women Attorneys – Houston.

Ms. Waddell currently serves as a Council Member for the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. She is the Treasurer of the Texas Chapter of the AAML; President-Elect of the Gulf Coast Family Law Specialists; and Assistant Secretary and Chair of the Fundraising Committee for the AAML Foundation. Lauren is a Board Director for Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, and Journal of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Lauren Waddell has been honored to be named a “Super Lawyer” a Thomson Reuters listing in Texas Monthly Magazine since 2013, and she has also been on the “Top 50 Women Texas Super Lawyers” and “Top 100 Houston Super Lawyers” lists.

On Monday, Lauren Waddell participated in the Texas Family Law Foundation’s Annual Fashion Show Luncheon, a much-anticipated event held each year during the Annual Advanced Family Law Course in San Antonio.

The Texas Family Law Foundation is dedicated to improving the practice of family law in Texas and giving family lawyers a stronger voice in the Texas Legislature. The Foundation monitors legislation affecting Texas families and the practice of family law, analyzes and testifies on relevant bills, and provides resources and guidance to legislators on family law issues and bill drafting.

The Fashion Show Luncheon is an important fundraising event that helps support this work and the Foundation’s ongoing efforts on behalf of the Texas family law community.

We’re proud to see Lauren supporting an organization that plays such an important role in advancing and strengthening the practice of family law across Texas.
