If you’re reading this, someone thinks you’re a great parent 🧡

You’re not that parent.
You’re an attentive parent.

Parent Awareness Month is a reminder that asking questions, showing up, and trusting your instincts isn’t “overdoing it”. Advocacy starts with attention, and attention starts with care.

If no one’s told you lately: you’re doing a great job.

Share this with a parent who needs that reminder today.

🎬 One word at a time… and somehow we still landed on a PSA

We tried the “make up a commercial one word at a time” trend and didn’t know where it was going until it turned into a gentle (and slightly chaotic) reminder to slow down on the roads.

No script.
Just two teammates, quick thinking, and a message that we all could use 🤭

Did the message land, or should we run it back for take two?

Parents are often told to “be patient” or “work within the system.”
But when your child needs real support, waiting isn’t an option.

Drew breaks down a hard truth: schools often have the resources to help students with speech needs, learning differences, or disabilities, but they don’t always prioritize using them. And when families push back on their own, the burden too often falls on parents to cover the gaps out of pocket.

That’s where advocacy matters. When schools are required to step up, they do. Services get added. Classrooms get adjusted. Progress gets tracked. And the responsibility shifts back to where it belongs…the institution.

The message is simple: your child has rights, and you don’t have to fight this battle alone.

Your child isn’t receiving the support they need at school? Don’t accept “that’s just how it is.” Reach out to us at bivonalaw.com and learn what options are available to you.

Most parents don’t start by questioning the people caring for their child.
You assume there’s a plan. A system. Someone paying attention.

Then something feels off.

Maybe the days don’t seem organized. Maybe an injury gets waved away without real answers. Maybe when you ask what happened, no one can tell you… Or worse, no one takes responsibility.

These moments are often the first signs that the person supervising your child isn’t properly trained, prepared, or qualified for that role. And by the time parents start noticing, it’s usually after a child has already been hurt.

Here’s the truth: your instincts matter. If there’s confusion, silence, or a lack of accountability when your child’s safety is on the line, that’s not normal, and it’s not something you have to accept.

If this sounds familiar or raises questions for you, don’t ignore it.
Reach out to our team. We’re here to listen, explain your options, and help you protect your child and others moving forward.

What’s not clearly explained is usually the part that matters most.

When a report mentions no one was watching, when the story keeps changing, or when the injury doesn’t match what you were told, that’s not just frustrating… that’s a signal to pause and ask more questions.

You know your child.
And if your gut is telling you something doesn’t add up, it’s worth listening to.

You don’t have to accuse. You don’t have to jump to conclusions.
But you can get clarity, protect your child’s rights, and make sure what happened doesn’t get brushed aside.

If you’ve received a report that left you uneasy, let’s talk.
Consultations are always free, and we’ll walk you through what your next step should be, even if that step is simply getting answers.

Most people know what to do when an adult is hurt.
Billboards. Commercials. Lawyers everywhere.

But when a child is injured?
That voice is often missing.

Drew built this firm to change that.

While many attorneys focus on cases with the loudest spotlight, our work centers on the ones who can’t advocate for themselves…children injured in places that were supposed to keep them safe. Daycares. After school programs. Care facilities. The spaces parents trust every day.

If you’re a parent or guardian, or you know one, save this and share it. And if something doesn’t feel right after your child is hurt, don’t assume you’re out of options. Reach out. We’re here to listen, and to speak up when kids can’t.

Most times it’s not what kids say, it’s why they’re saying it.

The phrases in this carousel are things children repeat every day, often without realizing what they’re carrying underneath. They’re not proof of anything on their own, but when you hear them more than once, or paired with changes in behavior, they’re worth slowing down for.

Kids don’t always have the words, confidence, or context to explain when something feels wrong. They minimize, protect adults, or try to keep the peace, especially when they think speaking up could cause trouble.

This isn’t about panic. It’s about awareness.
Listening closely.
Asking gentle follow-up questions.
Trusting your instincts when something doesn’t quite add up.

Share this with a parent or guardian because patterns matter. And paying attention early can make all the difference.

Explain it like I’m five: Constructive Knowledge

Imagine there’s a big puddle in the hallway. It’s been there alllll day.
No one cleaned it up. No one put up a sign.

Then someone slips… and an adult says, “I didn’t see it.”

Constructive knowledge means:
👉 You might not have seen the puddle, but you should have known it was there.
And when you should know about a danger, you’re responsible for fixing it.

Simple, right?
