My office is closed indefintiely until further notice. The number listed below will remain active for a brief period. My apologies to anyone considering my services. And deep apologies to my current clients as you wade through this mess that I created. I am working to help with access to counsel for those current clients.

And my sincere and deepest apologies to the attorneys that have become my closest friends, the judges that I have been before, admired and respected, especially those that I worked with prior to them taking the bench. I've brought shame, ridicule, and embarassment to the profession that I love so much. A profession I knew I wanted to be a part of since I was 12 years old.

And to my family and friends, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for the gossip, whispers, social media vultures, and questions you're facing because of my actions.

My biggest regret is that I can't apologize to my father. In the 31 years that he's been gone, I've wanted him here every single day. That is, except for the last 3 weeks. I'm relieved that he is no longer on this Earth to see what I have done to my family, my reputation, my career and my life as a whole. As forgiving as he was, this would simply be too much. The damage is beyond repair.

If I return to the practice of law, I will certainly update this page and provide new contact information.

Thank you for your time, attention and understanding.

Tim

I’d like to give a sincere thank you to Garland County Circuit Clerk Kristie Womble-Hughes and Deputy Clerk Melissa for their help over this past Thursday and Friday.

As I worked through filing a civil pleading outside my usual experience, they were consistently patient, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Melissa, in particular, took the time to answer every call and walk me through each issue—even when the answer turned out to be simpler than I expected.

Their professionalism and willingness to help did not go unnoticed. Garland County is fortunate to have them.

It find there's quite interesting. A federal judge recently ruled that the State of Arkansas is denying parolees due process and right to counsel in the way they handle parole violations and parole violation hearings. While there is more to it than what I'm mentioning, some of the key points is that there is not a preliminary hearing to essentially find cause to keep the parolee detained.

I have a client currently in custody awaiting a parole hearing. Because of this federal ruling, that essentially tells the State of Arkansas to provide due process and counsel to parolees during the proceedings, the State's temporary solution is to have no further hearings on ANY parolee, regardless of whether they have counsel. They just sit jail...indefinitely.

Does this make sense to anyone? If so, please respond and elaborate.

Had to travel down to Magnolia earlier this week. Fourth time in as many weeks. Much to my chagrin, the Prosecutor's Office elected to file charges against my client. So....I will be helping a man fight for his life in the coming months on allegations that clearly are not only false, it simply could NOT have happened the way the complainant claims. It is a total fabrication.

This case reverts me back to another r**e case that I had probably 15 years ago. A brutal, ongoing r**e of a mentally disabled young girl. At trial, my client was convicted as charged of R**e - 2 Counts. He received 2 life sentences and Judge John Homer Wright had those sentences run consecutively.

A few days after the trial concluded, I went out for some beers after work. A buddy of mine came up to me and started talking about the trial. Ultimately, he asked the one question everyone wants to know. "Did he do it?"

My reply, "God, I hope so." Looking totally confused without anything coming out of his mouth, I simply said, "Because...what if he didn't."

Everyone thinks its the truly dangerous people that you represent in your practice that makes criminal defense work so challenging and emotionally draining, but its not. Its the very real possibility of a wrongfully accused person being convicted and spending a vast majority, if not the rest of his/her life in prison for a crime they did not commit.

That is why we fight.

So, its Game ON.

FREEDOM FOR FRANKIE!!!
