Our rehab is finally complete! There were definitely bumps along the way and we ended up finding new contractors to finish the last handful of items so we could pass our final building inspection.

This dated and half-finished basement is now a cute 1 bedroom/i bathroom suite with a kitchenette.

STR REHAB UPDATE!

The renovation is going smoothly and I continue to learn new things every day. We have sheetrock going up this week and mudding and taping next week.

TIP #1: Try to order most or all of your materials online so your contractor can pick them up when they are ready to do the work. This has been such a game-changer for this project. It's been a lot less running around and gathering up the materials on my end!

TIP #2: If you find a great real estate-friendly contractor, treat them well! If you want them to be a part of your A-team, let them know and also give them incentives to want to keep working with you.

Update: We have all of the framing completed!

The week ahead is all about the plumber laying pipes underground, and the electrician and HVAC guy working their magic. This basement was a bit of a mess, so they will definitely have their work cut out for them.

I just finished a rehab project for a women who had been deployed over seas this past year.

She returned to a gorgeous house that had been worked on by a group of us who updated, repaired and transformed her home to this new beauty. Here are the AFTER photos.

Here are a few AFTER pictures of this master bathroom remodel I've been working on. (See the BEFORE pictures below)

We ended up removing the walls between the two areas and utilizing a closet from the space next door, to add more square feet to the bathroom where you see the white shelf.

We also bumped out the wall behind the original shower (about a foot), so the glass door had room to open with the new vanity in place.

Lastly, we added a barn door to add a rich 'color pop' of dark brown to accent the long hallway.

* I also learned how to wallpaper on this project!

I've been working on a Master Bathroom remodel and I wanted to share a bunch of BEFORE pictures. (AFTER pics to follow)

This was a very small and narrow bathroom with two pocket doors that separated the shower and closet area from the sink and toilet.

I've got a renovation going on and I wanted to share a few pictures.

I don't know about you, but I LOVE before and after shots.

Here's a good one of the hallway. White trim and new flooring gives it a fresh, updated feel.
