Scams targeting older adults are becoming increasingly sophisticated. A caller or message may appear to come from a bank, government agency or familiar company-and create an urgent problem that supposedly requires you to move money, provide access to your computer or act immediately.
A good rule to remember: stop, verify and talk to someone you trust before sending money or sharing personal information. If something may be legitimate, contact the organization independently using contact information you know is real-not the number or link provided in the message.
The FTC has additional resources specifically for older adults and their families through its Pass It On program. FTC Pass It On - fraud prevention for older adults.

Say aloha to Sheren, the newest addition to the Yim & Yempuku ʻohana! Born and raised right here in Hawaii, Sheren holds a BBA in Entrepreneurship from UH Mānoa and now brings that background to her role as our office manager.
She’s settling in and helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, from client care to event planning.
Outside the office, you’ll find her soaking up time with family or belting out her favorite tunes at karaoke night with her besties and traveling.
