We worked hard for 1/2 day until 1 PM. Then we celebrated for a bit with each other. Fellowship & talk story. Some toasted each other and the season. Santa & his Reindeer are on the way. Traffic here in our 808 Island State of HAWAII is ALWAYS terrible. Hopefully Mr. CLAUS will find parking, although if it's in WAIKIKI, it will cost THE JOLLY ONE a fortune!!

ALOHA, Friends and Supporters of our CFH ‘Ohana.

Most of you know our Senior Attorney, P. Gregory Frey. Greg worked with our firm’s founder, Bradley A. Coates (retired), from 1990 right up to Brad’s retirement from the firm and from the practice of law a few years ago. What you may not know is that GREG had a twin brother, LtCol. Grant V. Frey, USMC (ret.), AND that GREG just celebrated his 65th BIRTHDAY on December 5th. GREG decided that he’d try to do something really special to remember his “milestone” birthday AND, at the same time, to honor his twin brother, GRANT. OUR CFH ‘Ohana really likes this idea, and wants to help GREG remember his brother on their birthday. In order to do so, we send you this special email for consideration, if not reflection, this holiday season.

GRANT would have celebrated the FREY brothers’ 65th birthday with GREG (as they did together every year), but for his tragic death in 2020 from COVID-19. GRANT is terribly missed by many, to include many of you no doubt. Although gone, GRANT will never be forgotten. MELE KALIKIMAKA & SEASON'S ALOHA 2025 from our Coates Frey & Hackett 'Ohana to yours.

A s hard as we work for our clients, day in & day out, as a close knit group (some of us have been together going all the way back to LOBAC days [IYKYK], about 30 years), we are the first to arrive at all FAMILY LAW SECTION (FLS) & State Bar (HSBA) events & seminars & get togethers. HERE, CFH arrives in mass to attend & enjoy the FLS CHRISTMAS PA'INA in Chinatown. A good time was had by all. WORK HARD. PLAY HARD.
