On September 30, 2023, Florida's minimum wage will increase to $12.00 per hour for regular hours and $18.00 per hour for overtime hours. For tipped employees, the required regular wage rate will increase to $8.98 for regular hours, and $14.98 for overtime hours. The Florida minimum wage will increase each year on September 30 until 2026 when the Florida minimum wage reaches $15 per hour for regular hours.

Florida's minimum wage will increase to $10 per hour on September 30, 2021. The minimum wage will increase by $1 each year until September 30, 2026 when it will be $15 per hour. Starting in 2027, the Florida minimum wage will be adjusted annually for inflation.

According to a recent poll, 67% of Floridians support the November ballot referendum that would gradually increase the Florida minimum wages to $15 per hour. If the poll numbers hold up on election day in November, that amount is more than the 60% required to pass the ballot measure.

The Monmouth University Poll shows 67% of Florida voters plan to support increasing the minimum wage to $15 an hour over six years, more than enough to reach the 60% required for passage.
