Idk about you, but I’m feeling fueled and ready to take on the new year. 🌟

My intention for 2024- Connection.
To myself, my family, my friends, and my business.

With that energy, I’m making some tough, but exciting changes in my everyday life.

We’re cutting the noise for Q1 and going offline.

What does that look like for me?
📵 I’m deleting Instagram off of my phone, I will be posting far less on Facebook and LinkedIn, and honestly, I’m really excited to see what disconnecting myself from social media looks like by the end of the quarter.

I’m ready to go DEEP in my life.

It’s not that I don’t want to be connected to anyone - I LOVE the communities that I’m in and the people that I’m connected to.

It’s coming from a place of intention, focus and deep thinking. 💭

I want to lean into Q2 with the best systems in place to protect my energy, my health, my connections and my business operations.

I learned throughout this last quarter of 2023 that “grind mode” is never sustainable without systems and intention. I think we all come back to that lesson every once and a while, and I truly burnt myself out at the pace I was moving in these last few months. (Though we hit our goal, it’s time to move my focus!)

And if you’re feeling the same, don’t be afraid to log out, disconnect, and cut the noise - these apps will still be here, and you’ll stay connected to your people, and re-emerge when you’re ready with a new sense of focus and intention.🙌🏼

And who knows, maybe even better ideas as an entrepreneur and mom!

This is me, signing off, and wishing you all a powerful and intentional Q1! 🥂

Much love,

Zoi Jones. ❤️

To all of the mamas this holiday season…

Although we’re spreading love this season, we are not breaking boundaries or people pleasing in our work environments.

Clock out this holiday season.

Your work will still be there, and your rest in this season will only push you forward going into the New Year.

For the next few days, embrace the morning snuggles and enjoy lots of quality time with your loved ones. 🥰🎄

Gratitude Dump 💖

Before we jump into the goal setting energy of 2024, and the holidays, I want to take a moment to remind you all to be grateful.

I’m so grateful for my life.

Grateful for growth.

Grateful for time together as a family - my kids are growing too fast!

Grateful for friends, for communities - I really miss my mastermind network!

Gratitude reminds us that we really do have everything we need in life.

It reminds us to be present with those around us, to serve our community and to take care of ourselves.

What are you grateful for?

A little Monday reminder!

Asking for help, and being vulnerable, is really tough for me! (Especially as an Enneagram 8! 🤣)

And if you break my trust, that’s it - especially as a mom.

My husband Kyle will try to remind me that I can’t do it ALL, but my response is always, “Pfftt, yes I can! Watch me.”

To me, reaching out for assistance has always been a sign of weakness, but I’ve learned that it is actually a MAJOR STRENGTH. 💪

I want to STAY strong and confident, and that is exactly what asking for help is!

For those struggling with the same personal fear of showing weakness, let me leave you with what I continue to remind myself of -

⭐ If I don’t ask for help in business, it is going to take away from my family, and if I don’t ask for help with my family, it takes away from me.

Does this resonate with you?

As an enneagram 8, I enjoy taking on challenges.

Maybe that's why I was set on being a home birthing mama of 3, or an award-winning personal injury lawyer.

I want to be self-reliant, I want to prove myself and ensure that I play an important role in the world..

And while I recognize that this “do more” and “do it yourself” energy can be self-destructive in ways, I absolutely love the resourcefulness and drive it gives me.

It’s resulted in me finding answers to problems, and constantly looking to learn more.

All I know is that every year around this time I feel this part of me that aligns with this energy for more. Aside from the obvious “more goals” or “more income”, this year I’m looking for more learning.

Does anyone else feel the urge to turn 2024 into a year of immense learning?

I’m looking for some book recommendations as I start my book list for 2024, and I want to know your faves!

I recently heard this from a friend and I started thinking about how amazing it is that I’m surrounded by women who are so willing to share their experiences (good and bad) about motherhood and entrepreneurship! 🤝

By following the family and career journeys of these women LIVE, I feel both connected and inspired.

I wish I would have shown more of my little ones during my own journey as a lawyer and new mother. It is a time period that we’ll never get back!

BUT, seeing all of these women sharing online reminded me of why I wanted to start being open about the ups and downs of motherhood in the first place.

Because it’s not all that easy, and these real time experiences of fellow mothers and women entrepreneurs are SO inspiring, and definitely offer a lot of comfort!

So, if you’re a mom with little ones, and working your butt off, just know that you are not alone, and all of your hard work will pay off in the end! 💖

Thank you, Ka Cia tmiri + Bridgitte Malli for sharing your journeys with your community. Motherhood looks beautiful on you both. 🤍

My youngest says the last one every day. 😅

To the world, I am a lawyer, but to my children, I am so much more.

They know what I do for work, but that doesn’t even matter to them.

What matters is that I’m a present mother with them.

What matters is that they KNOW I’m interested in the things that they’re excited about, and that Mom is here to support.

In the past I’ve found myself wrapping my identity up in my career, forgetting that I am also a mother.

That’s the first thing I had to do in order to find this work-life harmony - stop defining myself solely on the work that I produce.

I am so much more than that, and my kids remind me of that everyday.

I hope you know you’re so much more than your work too. 💖

I cannot stress enough how important it is to have a powerful partnership with your spouse. 🤝

This year WKJones LLC and I LOCKED IN. ✅

We moved, we joined forces in my business, and we decided that family & business were the focus of the year.

With that decision came the greatest growth in our communication with each other. 🙌🏽

We decided to be fully transparent with what we needed and how we were feeling.

Things like being okay with your significant other saying “today I won’t be able to do X and I’m going to need your help”.

Being ABLE to ask for help in the first place.

Without that transparency, we would not have had the successful year that we just did.

And we’re about to do it again next year.

We just sat down for our FIRST DATE OF THE YEAR.

Yes, first time sitting down with each other and just chatting.

We realized with Q4 coming to an end, that we were moving fast, it was getting easy to trip over each other and lose track of what our original plan was - but taking the time to audit everything together is making this last month feel a lot lighter. ✨

I say all of this to say, this is your reminder to prioritize having a powerful partnership with your spouse, treating your family like a business that you’re running together.

Your partner is your PARTNER. Your relationship and family life is as successful as you allow it to be.

I wish I knew these sooner…

When I was in law school, I was SO hard on myself.

I kept my nose in my books, and strived for 100%. And if I came short, I went even harder.

But what I failed to realize is that I wasn’t pouring love into myself and my career.

I was focused on discipline and doing - operating from a very masculine place.

And there’s only 1 thing wrong with that… there was no balance with feminine energy. I needed more being, more living, more loving, and accepting my emotions, not just performing.

So for all my future female lawyers, aspiring attorneys and even just female entrepreneurs, save these affirmations, write them down, and tuly lean into the version of yourself that operates from a place of love and acceptance.

Your career will thank you.

In a world gripped by tragedy, uncertainty and turmoil, the health of our children serve as a reminder of the blessings we have here at home.

As I come home from work and sometimes even work from home, I can't help but think of the children and mothers, and families enduring the hardships of conflict, war crimes and instability all over the world.

This is your reminder to be grateful for your ability to provide for your family and, in your gratitude, extend your compassion and support to those in need, striving for a world where every mother can experience the same sense of peace and security. 🌍💙

What do they say?

Life is what you make it!

The things you want out of your life don’t just appear.

And even if you’ve manifested it, you still need to create the environment for your life goals to appear.

You need to look at your current life from your higher self and recognize what that version of you would do to get to where you want to be.

You need to do whatever work is required to make it happen.

And sometimes, there are phases where your priorities will have to shift.

There is no cheating work-life harmony, it’s truly a commitment.

10/24/2023

I spent the day with my family - sis’ newborn baby included! 👼🏽

But beyond that, I spent time reflecting on my year and honestly felt a little less accomplished than I wanted to.

Last year I had a BIG win, knocking best-selling author off my bucket list. ✅

And I realized I didn’t have any BIG career wins this year…

But I had to take a moment to stop and rewire my brain.

Just because it didn’t LOOK like a traditional year full of growth, I had to recognize that I poured so much into my family.

Our children have grown into these little humans with big personalities, and never ending curiosity and ambition. They did the damn thing this year!

And that was it - my kids’ growth over the last year is my biggest accomplishment.

Going into my 39th year of this beautiful life, I want to remind you of 2 things:

1️⃣ There is always something to be grateful for
2️⃣ Growth doesn’t always look the same, but it will always be there if you’re living an intentional life.
