Still sampling only a fraction of your 911 calls for QA?

Stop by the NICE Public Safety booth at Florida APCO to see how NiCE Inform AI is helping emergency communications centers modernize quality assurance and coaching with assistive AI.

Discover how your center can:
✔ Review and score 100% of calls against APCO/NENA standards
✔ Maintain human review and decision-making throughout the process
✔ Deliver faster, more consistent coaching feedback
✔ Surface operational risks and emerging trends in real time

Manual call reviews and delayed coaching create gaps that centers can’t afford. NiCE Inform AI helps teams gain broader visibility, improve performance, and streamline QA workflows — without increasing workload.

In emergency communications, the biggest challenges often aren’t the ones you can immediately see.

911 leaders have more data than ever before, yet critical insights into performance, coaching opportunities, and operational risk can still go unnoticed.

If you’re attending the upcoming Florida APCO conference in June, NICE Public Safety invites you to join Michael Porter’s session, “Seven Ways AI is Transforming 911 Emergency Response,” to explore how AI is helping agencies strengthen quality assurance and elevate coaching by:
✔️ Reviewing 100% of calls, not just small samples
✔️ Identifying patterns and coaching opportunities faster
✔️ Giving supervisors more time to focus on developing their teams

AI is changing how 911 centers see performance, support telecommunicators, and improve outcomes.

In the UK, retail crime is escalating — becoming more organised, more frequent, and increasingly difficult to tackle with traditional policing approaches.

For police forces, success now depends on how quickly evidence can move from incident to investigation.

Our latest white paper, Retail Crime at a Crossroads: Smarter Collaboration, Faster Justice, Safer Communities, explores how rising offending, new legislation, and stronger police–retailer partnerships are reshaping police response strategies in the UK. It also highlights how Digital Evidence Management (DEMS) is enabling faster investigations, earlier identification of repeat offenders, and stronger case outcomes.

Leading police forces are already embracing DEMS to streamline evidence sharing, remove operational friction, and strengthen their response to escalating retail crime.

Collaboration in policing is stronger than ever, and it’s happening behind the scenes.

While national conversations across the UK focus on police reform and structure, something equally important is happening across forces: real, practical collaboration.

At this year’s NiCE Evidencentral National User Group (NUG), we saw firsthand how forces across England and Wales are coming together to share insight, solve challenges, and drive innovation.

Some standout moments:
• 50+ representatives from police forces, CPS and IOPC collaborating in one space
• Forces sharing real-world outcomes from Digital Evidence Management (DEMS) and cross-force partnerships
• AI innovation accelerating video accessibility and playback
• Advances in automated redaction, making evidence sharing faster and easier

What struck us most is how far things have come.

Not long ago, managing CCTV footage was a major challenge. Today, thanks to technology and collaboration, many of those barriers have been overcome, allowing officers to focus on what matters most.

But beyond the tech, it’s the human element that stands out. The NUG isn’t just a meeting. It’s a community. It’s where peers become collaborators, and collaborators become colleagues.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this the largest UK NUG to date. Looking forward to seeing how this momentum continues into next year.

In every 911 center, there are people who carry the pressure most people never see. The telecommunicators handling challenging calls with composure. The supervisors holding the center together. The trainers preparing the next generation of call-takers. The technician making sure critical systems work when everything is on the line.

NiCE Public Safety's PSAPs’ Finest Awards were created to recognize the people behind the scenes who make excellence in emergency communications possible every day.

NICE Public Safety was proud to once again support the annual 911 for Kids Tim Brown Mentor Mini Camp held at the California Highway Patrol’s Academy in Sacramento. This marks our 18th year sponsoring this incredible event.

This year, 144 children from the local community participated in a day focused on mentorship, encouragement, and community engagement alongside NFL Hall of Fame and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown.

As part of our continued sponsorship, NiCE provides footballs for every child attending the camp, with each participant receiving a football signed by Tim Brown to take home.

We’re honored to support organizations like 9-1-1 for Kids®, which has spent decades helping educate children and families about emergency services while creating meaningful opportunities for youth outreach and mentorship.

Special thanks to Tim Brown and everyone involved in making this event such a success again this year. And a shout out to Jeff Visger and John Hite, PMP, ENP who attended from NiCE!

Every second matters in public safety. But when only a small fraction of calls are reviewed, critical coaching moments can be missed—and feedback often comes too late to make the biggest impact.

That’s where NiCE Inform AI comes in.

Join us for a live virtual demo on Friday, June 12 at 11:30 AM ET and see how AI-powered quality assurance can help your team review more calls, uncover emerging risks faster, and deliver timely coaching that improves performance when it matters most.

In just 30 minutes, we’ll show you how Inform AI helps public safety agencies quality-assure every call with AI-assisted scoring and human review, identify trends before they become larger issues, gain instant visibility through searchable calls and performance dashboards, and scale QA and coaching without adding more work to already stretched teams.

If your agency is looking for a smarter, more proactive approach to QA and coaching, this is a session you won’t want to miss.

Great connecting with so many emergency communications professionals at the National Emergency Number Association On - NENA Ontario Conference this past week. From conversations at our booth to the strong turnout and engagement during the AI & 9-1-1 Innovations Panel, one thing was clear: agencies are looking for practical ways to use AI to improve operations, support telecommunicators, and strengthen performance across the center.

The panel featuring NICE Public Safety's Peter Frijio, the Emergency Services Working Group's Ryan Anstey, ENP, RapidSOS's Matthew MacDonald, PENG, ENP, and Motorola Solutions' (Hyper) Josh Wright sparked valuable conversations around how AI is moving beyond hype and delivering real operational value in 9-1-1.

We appreciated the opportunity to share how AI-assisted QA, transcription, search, summarization, and operational intelligence can help centers reduce manual effort, uncover insights faster, and make more informed decisions.

If we didn’t get a chance to connect at the event, reach out to learn how NICE Public Safety is helping PSAPs bring communications, QA, and operational data together with AI-powered intelligence. https://www.nicepublicsafety.com/contact-us

911 leaders are being asked to do more than ever—improve performance, reduce risk, support telecommunicators, and maintain consistency across every interaction.

But most QA processes were never built for today’s demands.

Too often, supervisors can only review a small percentage of calls. Valuable time gets spent on documentation instead of coaching. Feedback comes long after the moment has passed.

And when visibility is limited, important patterns are easy to miss.

That’s where AI is creating real change for emergency communications centers.

AI-driven QA and coaching solutions are helping agencies move beyond random call sampling and reactive reviews by making it possible to:
✅ Evaluate every call
✅ Surface trends and risks automatically
✅ Deliver faster, more actionable coaching
✅ Give supervisors more time to focus on their people

The goal isn’t to replace human expertise. It’s to strengthen it. Our latest eBook, How AI Is Transforming 911 Quality Assurance and Coaching, explores how agencies are using AI to modernize QA while better supporting the people behind every emergency call.
