🚨 HOBART STORM RECOVERY UPDATE | THURSDAY, AUGUST 20
We’re continuing to make progress across Hobart following last week’s storm.

Here’s the latest update for residents:

🍔 FOOD FOR RESIDENTS
Free meals are available today at several locations. Please see the graphic for times and locations.

📞 REPORT STORM DAMAGE: 211
Residents should report storm-related damage by calling 211. This helps connect residents with available assistance and supports recovery efforts.

🌳 STORM DEBRIS REMOVAL
Crews are beginning to pick up storm-damaged trees and debris. Please place debris at the curb as soon as possible.
We also have an additional claw truck available to help with storm-related damaged household items such as carpeting and furniture. To schedule a pickup, call Public Works at 219-942-6121.

🗑️ DUMP FEES WAIVED
Dump fees are currently waived for Hobart residents disposing of spoiled food, water-damaged items, or storm debris.
Hours:
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–2:45 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM–11:45 AM

🚿 SHOWERS AVAILABLE UNTIL 8 PM
Showers remain available at:
• Festival Park | 111 E Old Ridge Rd
• Hillman Park | 2555 W Old Ridge Rd
• Hobart Pool | 825 W 10th St

Showers will be open 7:30AM-8PM.
Please bring your own towel and soap.

🔋 CHARGING STATION
The lobby of the MRC/PCC building will be open as a charging station on August 20 & 21 from 9 AM–3 PM.

⚡ NIPSCO UPDATE
Most recent Hobart NIPSCO update:
• 28,745 customers impacted by Storm Lucy
• 23,655 customers have been restored
• 5,090 customers remain without power
NIPSCO continues working around the clock with lineworkers, substation technicians and tree crews to restore power. Please continue to be patient as crews work through the remaining outages.
