The Office of the District Attorney for the Atlantic Judicial Circuit wants to thank the Long County Sheriff's Office and the Administration & Staff at McClelland Elementary School for the wonderful job they have done with this year’s 5th Grade students through the C.H.A.M.P.S. Program in Long County. The program was designed by the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association to “provide an educational program for Georgia’s youth, which provides guidance, and the skills, ability and knowledge to be safe, healthy and happy, in preparation for a successful life.”
We would also like to thank Sheriff Craig Nobles and the Long County Sheriff’s Office for extending the invitation to our District Attorney, Billy Joe Nelson, Jr., who was honored to speak at this year’s graduation ceremony. We are grateful for the parents, teachers, and law enforcement officers who are committed to the success of these students through the C.H.A.M.P.S. Program.
