We will be at New Haven PD (only) on Friday November 26, 2021 normal hours from 10:00 until 2:00. No applicant fingerprinting at Manchester PD on Saturday November 27, 2021.

There will be NO fingerprinting at Manchester Police Department on Saturday September 4, 2021. We will be providing fingerprinting services as scheduled, at New Haven Police Department on Saturday September 4th from 9:00 until 1:00. It is walk in basis, first come, first serve. Fingerprinting service are at the main New Haven Police HQ located on Union Ave.

We are now offering Live-Scan fingerprinting services with electronic submission directly to the FBI for Background checks and Florida Licensing. This service is by appointment only at our office located at 222 Saybrook RD Higganum, CT.

Who We Are

Biometric Identification Services (BIS) is a Connecticut Limited Liability Company that is registered with the Secretary of State. We are also a Connecticut Small Business Enterprise as well as a Women’s Business Enterprise and we have been in operation since 2006.

It is our mission at BIS to provide professional, timely and convenient fingerprinting and other identification services to anyone needing such. We are fully insured and perform electronic fingerprinting, notary and other services at numerous police departments in Connecticut including Hartford, Waterbury, Danbury, West Haven, East Haven, East Hartford and New Haven. Additionally, we provide on-site services state-wide to a variety of organizations including governmental entities and contractors, schools, tutoring companies, bus companies, insurance companies, banks and other groups where fingerprint based background checks are required. We also offer group fingerprinting at our Applicant Fingerprinting Center in Haddam, Ct.

BIS is owned and staffed by professional law enforcement and identification personnel who collectively have over 100 years of fingerprinting experience. The founders of BIS are former Connecticut State Police Bureau of Identification Managers who were responsible for the design, procurement and implementation of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System that is used by the State of Connecticut today. Our two Managing Partners have over 50 years of law enforcement experience and, between them and our staff, we have fingerprinted thousands of applicants both electronically and with ink. BIS Fingerprint Technicians are all experienced and specially trained in both electronic and inked fingerprint capture. Additionally, most of our personnel have Connecticut Notary Public certification.

BIS is the only company in Connecticut that specializes in applicant fingerprinting and notary services and who offers these services at numerous locations across the state. We fingerprint hundreds of applicants each month and guarantee that our fingerprints will be accepted by both the State of Connecticut and the FBI. Any rejects for any reason will be re-fingerprinted at no charge to the customer. BIS performs more applicant fingerprinting functions for more purposes than any other organization in Connecticut.
