Freezing temperatures moving in later today ❄️ now's the time to protect your pipes if you haven't already. Here are some simple tips to help prevent freezing.

❄️ Run HOT & cold water through your pipes (especially those closest to the exterior of the home) - a small stream is better than a drip.

❄️ Open up the cabinet doors where plumbing is located.

❄️ Put outside covers on your faucets. If you can't find any, try cutting and wrapping with a pool noodle or a t-shirt, cover with a zip lock/plastic bag, secure with duct tape.

❄️ Maintain heat in the home above 60 degrees F.

❄️ Keep garage doors closed to help protect water pipes located in the garage.

❄️ Make sure you know where your water shutoff valve is located.

❄️ If frozen pipes are discovered, get with a licensed plumber before you heat the area. Most water damage occurs during the thaw.
