At any giving time there ara approximately 160,000 persons incarcerated in Texas Prisons. If only 1% of those persons were wrongfully convicted, or not given proper assistance by their Attorney, that would mean there are at least 1,600 people in Prison for a crime they did NOT commit, just in Texas.

We, at East Texas Threat Management, (East 2009) have more than 30 years in Law Enforcement, 11 years as private investigations company. Private Investigators are fully trained to take the time to understand the charges and law associated with a specific crime when an attorney uses a private investigator in a criminal defense investigation. Once a private Investigator develops a concrete understanding of the case in question, he or she will go over all of the materials that the defense team has received from the prosecutor.

Throughout the criminal defense investigation, the criminal defense investigation, the private Investigator will scour routine police reports, copies of evidence, photographs, videos, phone messages and witness statements related to the case, with the ultimate goal of being able to determine weather or not there are any inconsistencies from one witness to the next.

Additionally, a private investigator may re-visit or re-create the crime scene to see if there were any details that may have been overlooked. he or she may also decide to interview witnesses to see if their stories have changed or to verify that they do not have anything else that motivated their statements against the defendant.

If a private investigator unearths an inconsistencies or ulterior motives, they may be able to be used as part of the clients defense, by the same merit, if the private Investigator finds out that there are other witnesses who had not come forward, or that the prosecution and law enforcement have not disclosed,he or she can look into these developments further with assistance from your attorney.
