Looking east on Sixth Avenue from the Federal Building (now the City-County Building), early 1920s.
Prominent on the right is the Electric Block (1890-1974). Some of the businesses on the left, as listed in the 1922 City Directory, are the Common & Co. Grocers, Post Office News Stand in the Diamond Block, Reynolds Drug Co., and the Lewis Penwell Land Co. Then, of course, the Montana Club.
The Power and Goodkind Blocks are in the distance on the right.
This photo postcard, courtesy of the Baird Collection, was published by noted Oregon photographer Charles Wesley Andrews (1875-1950), then operating out of Baker, Oregon.
