Do you know how to represent yourself at a remote hearing?

The court will let you know if your hearing is remote, and give you instructions for joining the hearing. If using video, download the app the court tells you to use ahead of time. Charge your computer or phone to 100%. Use headphones or earbuds if you can. That will free up your hands and improve sound quality. Email the clerk of court any evidence, like documents or pictures, before the hearing. You’ll still want to dress neatly. And wear soft solid colors. You can practice on the app the court tells you to use ahead of time to make sure that the sound and lighting is good, and that you feel as prepared as possible representing yourself.
