We Care Coalition - Parentage Equality in Connecticut

We Care Coalition - Parentage Equality in Connecticut We Care is a coalition of Connecticut families and community organizations working to protect children by advocating for the Connecticut Parentage Act.

Current Connecticut parentage law is outdated and unconstitutional, and it leaves many children without the protection of a legal relationship with their parents. The Connecticut Parentage Act (CPA) ensures ALL children have equal access to the security of a legal parent-child relationship, regardless of the circumstances of their birth, or the marital status, gender, or sexual orientation of thei

r parents. The CPA ensures that parentage law reflects and protects the great diversity of families in Connecticut.

Working to protect Connecticut families

Right now, many families in Connecticut don’t have a way to secure their parent-child relationships, leaving them vulnerable. We are advocating to pass the Connecticut Parentage Act to update state law to protect all children and families.
