The recent case In re Klemkowski has shed light on an increasingly common, and troubling, practice by mortgage companies — denying Chapter 13 debtors access to online payment portals. This case brought to the forefront a significant issue for Chapter 13 debtors across the country—the need for accessible payment methods that allow them to stay current with their mortgage payments and successfully complete their repayment plans.

We are currently seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Secretary or Paralegal to join our Harrisburg, Pa office. This is an in person position. The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience in bankruptcy law (Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 knowledge preferred);
- Proficiency in BestCase management software or other bankruptcy software;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; and
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with preparing, proofreading, and filing bankruptcy documents
- Managing case files and tracking deadlines
- Communicating with clients, courts, and trustees.
- Supporting attorneys with scheduling and document management
