My office participated in the Harriman Christmas Parade for the first time tonight and we had so much fun! Thank you to the people behind the scenes and my special little helpers. My daughter’s idea to ride her scooter to hand out candy was a big hit!

November 21, 2025 was National Adoption Day and I had the pleasure to present proof for the Turpin family in the adoption of young Mr. Hunter Turpin. The 9th Judicial District Chancery Court had a special joint session with all 4 counties to present adoptions for 13 families that day. The wide smiles should tell all you need to know about the joy and excitement experienced in the courtroom that day. Thank you Chancellor Tom McFarland and all our Clerk & Masters for making the day a reality!

It’s almost always the little things that mean the most. I have had unending court days, some late, and my last client meeting of the day brought me some homemade cookies and a special cold drink! The Honorable Chancellor Tom McFarland held open Chancery Court for a Special Session in honor of National Adoption Day on Saturday.

My teenage client gave me such a sweet handwritten card for her adoption today. I honestly just had the smallest role coming in at the end after such a long case history before me, but she signed her new name for the first time in my card! I fight hard for all my babies and these children who never feel heard. This girl (and her brothers) got a new father today and the name she needed for the peace and stability she deserves! 🥹🥰

I am so grateful for the opportunity to attend a second (and the last) in-person Adoption Law School in the Smokies to learn directly from THE authority and lady herself who wrote the book on adoption law in Tennessee. It is due to Dawn Coppock that scrappy lawyers and solo practitioners like me have the confidence to continue her pioneering work and take on being leaders of the next generation of termination of parental rights and adoption litigators.
